QotD: My Thoughts on Prenups

Would you sign a prenuptial agreement? Why or why not?

If you know the marriage is a mistake, definitely.  Might as well settle the divorce while everyone is still feeling pretty nice to each other!  For example, every fiber of my being was screaming "Don't do it!!!!" when I married my ex.  A pre-nup would have been an excellent choice.

With my real DH, it is so unnecessary that it's impossible to imagine what it would say.  I have my most valuable treasure now so everything else is just stuff.  I know it sounds crazy but my DH is the one for me and we're in this together forever.

Actually, I don't believe in divorce. I think you should just have an un-wedding, invite all the same people to a big party, give back all the stuff you got and go home happy, slightly drunk and full of cake. :)

That's a smart idea - very civilized and amicable.
The entire concept of marriage is a puzzle to me, though - I've run screaming from it, my entire life.
Oh, wait -any evenr that promotes cake is OK by me - bring on the weddings!!

Mmm... that good fluffy kind - not that chunky wallpaper paste kind. I'm even willing to forego the cake and just go for a bowl of icing. Yes, I'm willing to make that sacrifice... (looking nobly into the distance)

Uh, oh. Icing discrepancy. I like the gritty lethargic artery constricting killer icing. The one that adheres the layers of cake to the plate and won't come off the roof of your mouth for days. LOVE IT!!!
I pass up the cake, too, just for that. Well, we could have both. Yes. TWO icings!! Let the other people eat cake!

In that case, there is no conflict! I will save you from any evil fluffy icing and you will rescue me from the kind that stays in whatever shape it lands in. (But I'm ok with licking the sticky stuff off... just in case you need backup)
