I've been wrong

Yes, it's a sad, sad situation.
Right, they gambled, got incredibly rich, and then when the whole house of cards fell down, WE had to pay. See Glenn Greenwald.
Interesting and quite accurate in loads of ways. Thanks for the link, Mark!
It truly is. And nauseating. Don't forget nauseating.
My sentiments EXACTLY! Why don't people seem more angry about it??
It's kind of amazing. Like everyone's asleep. Or maybe we've all just gotten used to being the whipping posts for all the wealthy sleazoids?
SUXSUXSUXSUXSUXSUXSUXSUXSUXSUXSUX!!!!!!!!

Idiotic greedy rotten arrogant #%@holes. I'm not pointing fingers: I"m including everyone who profited and screwed someone to do it.

*waves to snoring* Hi!!!!!!!
:waving back!:

I am amazed and astonished and (very slightly) gratified that Congress is having the cajones to actually say, "No. We're going to think about this," instead of rolling over for a belly rub like usual when the Master Speaks. Maybe there is some slim hope.

But I doubt it.
Yeah....

It's days like this (and there've been a lot lately!!) when I'm relieved that Mom isn't here (although I wish....you know.....)- she'd die of upset - one Depression in a lifetime is plenty.

Gah.
I understand. I wonder what my aunt is thinking of all this. And it's not even real. I keep hearing how we have to keep credit flowing. How about if we keep the ability to pay bills flowing? How about if we don't celebrate the power of debt? What happened to paying what you owe?

I just don't get it.
I too am so confused. Everything I was taught, about responsibility and accountability is apparently irrelevant. I look at my crummy kitchen, someday I will have enough money to afford a real (not electric) stove and replace the peeling salmon-colored formica, but only when I can afford it. Oh, wait, maybe I should do it now, someone else will pay for it. yay. not.
Exactly. Makes you wonder why you bother getting out of bed or going to work or paying for anything. Of course, if you were hungry and stole a steak from a grocery store, you'd be in jail in a heartbeat. Steal people's homes by conning them into impossible usury-rate loans and crash an economy and you get a big fat bonus package.
I am really rethinking the getting out of bed part some days.....too depressing.
This shit really has to hit the fan soon, right?

[this is good]
I keep thinking that I too could have a mortgage to default on, bills to blow off, and maybe I could rob a bank while I'm at it (not that they have anything worth stealing these days). It's the new world order. Cheaters win, we idolize idiots, and the good and honorable are second class citizens. Looks like Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny weren't the only lies my parents told me. Maybe being good isn't always the right thing to do. Am I bitter? You betcha, lol. But I still believe in Karma and will one day have my 72 virgins and a time share in Boca.

Boca? That reminds me of a song...
